The Farallone Clipper development class is one of the best known sailing fleets on the San Francisco Bay and the West Coast.  Nineteen of these beautiful boats were built from 1940-1962 by the Stephens Brothers in Stockton, California.  Most of the Clippers are still actively sailed and raced today.  The yacht's traditional lines, based on a smaller 1930's Sparkman & Stephens design, were modified to suit the class founders' desire for a larger boat which was equally at home racing the SF Bay, comfortably cruising, or competing on the open ocean.  The result is a 38' sloop that continues to enthrall and inspire to this day.
